I’m hungry, let’s go to Grand Central Station! What?

While walking through Grand Central Station, I noticed all the amazing foods you could delight in. First, you have the Grand Central Market where you can purchase fine European chocolates (Li-lac chocolates), a challah bread with raisins (Zaro’s Bread Basket) or the finest fresh and smoked fish (Pescatore Seafood Company). The Grand Central Market is full of some of the finest foods and does not take a great deal of searching to find some excellent deals.

Want to sit down and grab a snack or lunch/brunch/dinner? Well, there are many choices on the lower level of Grand Central Station to tantalize your tummy. Now I have a sweet tooth, so I have to say I am partial to Junior’s Cheesecake. You can get a piece big enough to share for about $5.50 and don’t forget to get a chocolate egg cream-they are delicious. I have not had an opportunity to taste everything in Grand Central Market (my waste line would revolt) -but it is a vast world of international food delights. Some of my favorites include Eata Pita, where you can get a satisfying meal for about $8.00 and you can finish off your meal with one of the gazillion flavors of gelato and sherbet at Ciao Bella Gelateria. Oh, and I did mention I had a sweet tooth, right? Well, there is no tastier chocolate chip cookie than the one you find at Zaro’s Bread Basket…and don’t forget to bring a pie from the Little Pie Company…a culinary delight sure to please and surprise your favorite person. Let me know your favorite place to grab a bite at Grand Central! Oh, and while you are there be sure to take the Grand Central Tour, it’s only $5 a person and you can have a fully guided historical tour of one of the oldest and prestigious train stations. Before you go on the tour, check out the interactive map tour of Grand Central on their website and then you will know all the hot spots to check out before you get there. Take a train or a tour…and fill your tummy at Grand Central Station.
